In this section of the resource you will find introductory information about children and young people’s cancer services.

Organisation of children’s cancer care in the UK 0-16 In the UK and Ireland, there is a network of tertiary specialist centres, known as Principal Treatment Centres, for diagnosing and treating cancer in children and young people.

Principal Treatment Centre and Shared Care Unit information  All children and young people diagnosed with cancer are treated in one of the 21 specialist hospital centres across the UK and Ireland. These are known as Principal Treatment Centres.
