Our research funds will support projects in the UK that will:
- Broaden and deepen knowledge of how childhood cancer starts and grows
- Help transfer research progress seen in the lab straight to a clinical setting so that new treatments can reach patients more quickly
- Improve treatment and patient care throughout the cancer journey to lessen the physical and emotional impact on patients and families
When you make a donation or raise funds for the a CCLG Research Fund, 100% of your donation supports research into that fund.
Children's Brain Tumour Research Fund
Brain tumours are the biggest cause of cancer deaths in children and young people. And the fight doesn't stop after treatment - many survivors are left with lifelong challenges as a result of their cancer and treatment.
Around 25% of all childhood cancers in the UK are brain tumours, but there are many different subtypes of the disease. Brain tumours can be difficult to treat and are the biggest cause of cancer deaths in children and young people.
CCLG's Children's Brain Tumour Research Fund supports pioneering research into this devastating childhood cancer. We want to change the future for children with brain tumours by learning more about their causes and finding better, kinder treatments.

Life After Childhood Cancer Research Fund
Many survivors of childhood cancer will experience long-term side effects as a result of their treatment, which may not show until several years after treatment is finished.
There are a number of side effects from cancer treatment, such as heart problems, poor memory, and secondary cancers. These are known as late effects.
CCLG's Life After Childhood Cancer Research Fund will support research into these 'late effects' and the other problems facing childhood cancer survivors.

Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Fund
Four out of ten children diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma do not survive for more than ten years.
Rhabdomyosarcoma is a type of soft tissue sarcoma that originates in the muscles. The causes are currently unknown but research is continuing all of the time.
CCLG's Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Fund supports pioneering research into this aggressive childhood cancer. We want to change the future of rhabdomyosarcoma, learning more about its causes and finding better, kinder treatments.

Neuroblastoma Research Fund
Fewer than 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year with neuroblastoma. There is no known cause.
Neuroblastoma is a rare type of cancer that mostly affects children under the age of five. It can occur anywhere in the body and have many different symptoms.
CCLG's Neuroblastoma Research Fund is raising money for pioneering new research into neuroblastoma to find kinder treatments, discover the causes, and learn more about how neuroblastoma occurs.
When you make a donation or raise funds for the Neuroblastoma Research Fund, 100% of your donation supports research into neuroblastoma.
