The Outreach Information Resource has been developed by CCLG to support professionals who are supporting a child with cancer in the community. The resource will also be useful for family members and friends who are supporting a child with cancer.
Delayed diagnosis can lead to worse survival for patients and poorer long-term health for survivors. We want to ensure that all children and young people with cancer are diagnosed quickly, at an early stage of their disease.
We develop national clinical treatment guidelines ensuring safe, consistent and standardised care for children with cancer. CCLG members regularly review guidance and recommendations to cover all of the major children's cancers, including leukaemia.
We provide resources to support professionals in their careers, to support the delivery of the best possible children and young people’s cancer services.
