We have provided the answers to some common questions about the Annual Conference below.

Our early bird rate for CCLG and TYAC members ends on Wednesday 16 January 2025.

Main registration will close at midnight on Sunday 9 March 2025.

No, we made the decision not to operate this system for 2025 as many delegates may find they wish to attend different talks once at the conference. All sessions are on a first come first served basis on the day.

Accommodation is not included in the ticket price. We have teamed up with an experienced hotel finder service to help you find appropriate accommodation.

When registering for the conference, you have the option to pay by invoice. This will generate an automatic invoice from the system and can be viewed via your booking. For any queries regarding payment by invoice, please email: finance@cclg.org.uk or conference@cclg.org.uk. 

We offer exclusive early bird and subsidised tickets to all of our members. To take advantage of discounted rates, you will need to be a current CCLG or TYAC member with no subscription fees outstanding. Non-members will pay standard price. 

Please note: this conference is for clinical, healthcare and research professionals only.

The ICC is conveniently located in central Birmingham and is only 10-15 mins walk from New Street Station. For full details, please see: https://www.theicc.co.uk/find-us/

Please arrive at the main entrance of the ICC. The conference is located up the escalators to Level 1. 

The closest spaces are at the sister venue Utilita Arena Birmingham (King Edward’s Road, B1 2AA).  Mobile payments can be made upon arrival at the Arena car park via www.parkjockey.com/pay, quoting location code 5020.

Visitors arriving by car will need to be aware of Birmingham's Clean Air Zone. The ICC and associated visitor car parks are located within this area. There is a lift that reaches all levels.

All delegates will have access to an event app which will include the programme, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. Details on this will be sent at a later date.

No, we will not be live streaming at the event due to extra cost.

Yes, there will be a range of areas to suit your needs in the spaces around the halls as well as a number of small meeting rooms. Please speak to us on the day if you need a quiet room to work.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.

We will not produce hard copy delegate booklets and bags. We encourage you to bring your phone or tablet so you have this to hand on the day to view our event app. 

Water stations will be provided at the event so please bring a reusable water bottle. 

Delegates may be photographed or filmed during the event. Audience members grant CCLG the right to use photographs and recordings of any type made of their attendance in all media, and by means of publicity and promotion relating to CCLG. Delegates who do not wish to be photographed or filmed should make themselves known to CCLG event staff on the day. 

A map of the venue will be provided on the app, and directional signage will be available on site.

Arrival refreshments: tea/coffee
Mid-morning/mid-afternoon refreshments: Tea/coffee with snacks
Lunch: Two-course hot and cold finger buffet

Monday evening: 3-course banqueting dinner plus bar area (for those booking a full conference package or 'Awards Dinner' add-on)
Sunday evening supper: buffet supper at All Bar One (2 mins walk from ICC)

Water stations will be available so please reusable water bottles.

Yes, there will be a cloakroom for coats and luggage either on the ground floor in the mall area or upstairs near the registration desk. 

The venue is cashless only. On the ground floor, there is a mall area with a shops and Starbucks coffee bar.

The Conference & Awards Dinner is a sit-down 3-course meal on Monday evening from 7pm. Member Awards will be presented during the meal which will be followed by live music entertainment with dancefloor.

We know that networking is an essential part of the conference experience and we are building extra elements for this into our programme schedule.

There is a subsidised evening supper for those members travelling up on Sunday plus there are plenty of comfortable spaces to mingle and chat.

The event app will also allow for easy networking where you will see the full list of attendees and you can also directly message them.

Cancellation requests received by 24 February 2025 will receive a full refund minus £20 administration fee.

Delegates cancelling after this date will not receive a ticket refund. This is because we have already incurred costs for the venue and catering which we will still need to pay for. 

It might be possible to transfer your ticket to a colleague if the booking is the same, please email us with this information by 3 March 2025.
