Coronavirus data

The UK Paediatric Oncology Coronavirus Monitoring Project is a clinician-led project to enable tracking of paediatric oncology patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 across the UK.

The aims of this project are to ensure excellent cancer care continues to be delivered across the country and to accurately identify risk and best practice for our patients. Led from the University of Birmingham and supported by CCLG, the project steering group (comprising members from the University of Birmingham, University of Leeds, The University of Manchester, University of York and CCLG) are pleased to present a summary of the data collected so far.

Our UK data currently suggest that children receiving cancer treatment are not at increased risk of developing symptoms from COVID-19 infection and do well even if on very rare occasions they develop the more serious symptoms associated with COVID-19 infection. This is in keeping with the data emerging from other countries. #ChildhoodCancer #coronavirus #COVID19
