Childhood Cancer Awareness Month takes place in September each year.
CCLG, along with many other children's cancer charities, marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) each year in September. While we work to raise awareness of childhood cancer all year round, during September we focus on increasing awareness of cancer in children, as well as the work we do to support children with cancer and their families.
The gold ribbon
The internationally recognised symbol for childhood cancer is the gold ribbon. During September, we encourage our supporters to wear a gold ribbon to help raise awareness. You can order your gold ribbon (and other CCAM items) from our online shop.
Help us to raise awareness of childhood cancer
You can order a set of our free CCAM posters and put them up at school/work/the pub/your local shop/in the community (make sure you get permission!) to help us raise awareness of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and our work. Each set contains three posters (and you can order as many sets as you like). Posters are free but if you would like to make a donation for them, please text GOLD to 70700 to donate £3.
