Cancer in teenagers and young adults accounts for around 1% of all cancer diagnoses each year. However, the impact of cancer can be devastating and cancer is the most common cause of death from disease in young people.

CAR-T cell therapy

CAR-T cell therapy is where the patient’s own T-cells are changed in the lab by adding an artificial receptor to the cells (called a chimeric antigen receptor or CAR) to make CAR-T cells.
