For many parents, reaching the end of treatment can bring mixed emotions. This is the moment you have waited for since hearing the diagnosis. You may feel happy and relieved your child or teen has completed their treatment, but you may also feel anxious that the cancer may come back. It can be a very unsettling time.

This guide contains information on what happens when your child finishes treatment and explains what to expect in follow-up care. We have included some practical questions such as how often your child will be seen as well as how you may be feeling emotionally when your child finishes treatment. We hope this booklet will help answer some of the questions you have at this time and support you through this period of readjustment.
