Published: Aug 2020

The death of a child is a devastating experience for everyone who knew and loved the child. Suddenly, the promise of a young life with a future of hopes and dreams is gone. This simply does not make sense and goes against how we expect normal life to be. This resource contains suggestions of how others such as friends, neighbours and schools can help bereaved families whose child has died from cancer.

How this resource was made
Adapted from the CCLG resource entitled: ‘Facing the death of your child’, which contains essential information for helping parents to cope with the death of their child. This booklet was written by the CCLG Information Advisory Group comprising parents, survivors and multi-professional experts in the field of children’s cancer.
