Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) hosts its Annual Conference next week (April 22-23), bringing together experts from across the childhood cancer community.

The UK’s leading children’s cancer conference for professionals returns for two days of essential updates on best practice excellence and cutting-edge research.

The conference, being held at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes in partnership with Teenagers & Young Adults with Cancer (TYAC), provides a unique opportunity for medical and healthcare professionals to come together and share news and discoveries in children’s and young people’s cancer.

Over 600 delegates are set to attend each day, hearing from leading children’s cancer experts as part of a bumper programme which features important in-depth multidisciplinary sessions on leukaemia and sarcomas, clinical insight sessions on genetics, multiprofessional holistic care and patients with additional needs, special interest sessions for nurses, radiotherapists, surgeons and multi-professionals, research updates and much more.

There will also be a teenage and young adult cancer stream, led by TYAC’s Professional Education and Research groups, covering topics such as lived experience, communication and mental health.

TV and radio presenter Spencer Kelly, famed for presenting the BBC’s flagship technology programme 'Click', will also take to the stage as guest speaker to give a thought-provoking insight in how innovative technological advances, such as AI, are changing the face of healthcare.

CCLG’s Member and Research Awards will also return on the evening of the first day to recognise the contributions of individuals and teams to the work of CCLG and children with cancer.

Ashley Ball-Gamble, CCLG and TYAC CEO, said:

We’re looking forward to welcoming members and delegates to what will be our biggest-ever annual conference next week in Milton Keynes.

We’ve put together our most ambitious programme to date, full of interesting and valuable insights from treatment, care and research, with lots for attendees to take away and put into practice.
