Book your CCLG charity place on the Lake District 8 Peaks Challenge!
This one-day challenge is no easy feat, with eight peaks to conquer. Get ready for an exhausting yet invigorating trek through the rugged and dramatic landscapes of the Lake District.
Covering 15 miles, you’ll tackle some of England’s most challenging peaks, including the highest – Scafell Pike.
The group will ascend over 3,000 feet (900m), crossing crags and moorlands past the Langdale Pikes towards Scafell Pike, before returning over the final two summits of the day.

What you need to bring
- Suitable walking boots (with ankle support)
- Appropriate clothing for the walk
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Spare warm layer
- Hat and Gloves
- Food, snacks and water (minimum 1.5 litres) for the walk
- Camera to capture the adventure (optional)
- Walking poles (optional)

Take on one of the Lake Districts toughest challenges and be rewarded with epic panoramic views from the highest peaks in England. You’ll get full support along the way by our team of experienced mountain leaders who will ensure you get the very best of this amazing experience.
Please Note: The walk will take place in most weather but the leader will reserve final judgement on the day (in most cases) and maintains the right to abandon any walk if they feel the safety of themselves or any participant is at risk.
